Times Square Gets Cinco De Mayo Ready With The Opening Of Massive, Bi-Level Taco Spot, Pink Taco

The trendy, always lively taco joint Pink Taco is set to open its newest outpost in none other that New York City’s Times Square, where the famously high energy matches Pink Taco’s rock music-fueled vibe. Originating at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Pink Taco has expanded to locations in Los Angeles, Boston, Miami, and Washington D.C..

The New York opening brings back the original menu that put them on the map along with a mixture of food, drink, music, and party that stays true to the brand’s core. The return of Pink Taco favorites such as Fried Lobster Tacos with chipotle mayo, mango-habanero salsa, avocado, cabbage slaw, on flour tortillas; Coconut Shrimp Tacos served with red cabbage, orange chile salsa, mango-habañero salsa, and chipotle mayo served on corn tortilla; Jalapeño Chile Poppers, paired with cotija cheese, served with cilantro ranch; and The Big Barbacoa Burrito, paired with Mexican rice, pinto beans, jack cheese, pico de gallo, chipotle mayo, flour tortilla, and topped with red chile sauce are all back for New Yorkers to experience.

This new location comes with an impressive design. This 10,500 sq. ft. location features seating for 300 across two floors. A combination of rustic and industrial vibes fills the space, with reclaimed barn wood and exposed columns alongside custom neon signs that bring Pink Taco’s signature vibrant color palette to life.

Throughout the restaurant are the energetic murals painted by Jason Ackerman of Soho Ink. They showcase various traditional Mexican themes, including Día de los Muertos. Upon entering the expansive bar, guests are welcomed by party-vibe lighting reflected in the large first-floor windows, which hits the skull-shaped disco ball, setting the party atmosphere. On the second floor, there’s yet another bar complete with high-top and cocktail seating along with a private dining room off to the side, closed off with sliding doors.

The cocktail menu perfectly fits the high-energy vibe of Pink Taco. Stiff Pink Taco favorites will be served such as The Frozen Strawberry, slushed and served in a Pineapple; The Lexis Spritz with Martini Rossi Fiero, mango puree, sparkling wine, and topped with soda; and the Espresso Tequila Martini made with El Jimador tequila, caffe espresso liqueur, and Disaronno Velvet. Additionally, there will be plenty of tequila and mezcal spirits on the menu for bottle service, shots or sips.

Pink Taco will offer a state-of-the-art sound system and a rotation of DJs that will keep the fun going throughout the week and late into the night. Makes sense given this Times Square location will be open until a nightly 2 AM last call. Day drinkers are welcomed to the party with happy hour offered Monday through Friday from 3PM – 7PM with frozen margaritas, beer and wine specials, plus select menu items from the food and taco menu.

This location will also prioritize brunch. The menu features Pink Churro Pancakes; Mexican Bread Pudding French Toast; Breakfast Papas, made with beef barbacoa, breakfast potatoes, pickled jalapenos, Mexican crema, cotija cheese, avocado, and two over -easy eggs; and more. There will also be an excess of “hangover cures” like the Rainbow Mimosa Buckets, pitchers of Fiery and Spiked Agua Frescas, and a Frozen Pink Sangria.
