Søren Andersen, CEO of Unimed, accepted the award at a ceremony hosted by SAFETY4SEA, a leading source of shipping news and insights, on September 30. Winners were selected through a combination of online voting and evaluation by a panel of industry experts.
Since its launch in 2018, Unimed’s Medscale digital platform, together with Unimed’s suite of services, has expanded to serve more than 15,000 oceangoing vessels. The digital platform streamlines medical supply management and compliance tracking while providing 24/7 telemedicine support. It enables real-time monitoring of vessels’ pharmaceutical, vaccine, oxygen, and medical supply inventories, allowing operators to assess medical capabilities and manage risk with precision. Medscale’s telemedicine service connects crew members with EU-certified medical professionals for urgent care and mental health support, regardless of location.
